VIVA FRIDA KAHLO is a unique staging of the world-famous works by legendary Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. After successful residencies in Zurich, Brussels, Munich, Berlin, Hamburg and Vienna, VIVA FRIDA KAHLO made its Scandinavian debut at Amiralen in Malmo in February and ran until June 2025.

VIVA FRIDA KAHLO takes visitors on a sensory journey through Frida’s world and art, by bringing her paintings to life using the latest technology to project onto walls up to 24 metres long and 5.5 metres high, as well as onto the floor of the exhibition hall. In addition, visitors can also enjoy a virtual reality experience that takes them inside some of the artists’ most famous and well-loved works, as they journey through the symbolism and dreams of Frida Kahlo, and becoming part of her world.
